Description
Microsemi's PolarFire Evaluation Kit offers high-performance evaluation across a broad class of applications. This kit is ideally suited for high-speed transceiver evaluation, 10Gb Ethernet, IEEE1588, JESD204B, SyncE, CPRI and more. The kit connections include a high pin count (HPC) FPGA mezzanine card (FMC), numerous SMAs, PCIe, Dual Gigabit Ethernet RJ45, SFP+ and USB. A 300K logic element (LE) PolarFire FPGA with DDR4, DDR3 and SPI-flash allow a broad class of high-performance designs to be developed.

  • 300K LE PolarFire FPGA in an FCG1152 Package (MPF300TS-1FCG1152EES)
  • HPC FMC Connector
  • 1x SFP+ Cage
  • IEEE 1588 PLLs and Software
  • SMA connectors for testing of full-duplex 12.7Gbps SERDES channel
  • 4GB DDR4 x32 and 2GB DDR3 x16
  • PCI Express (x4) Edge Connector
  • 2 x RJ45 for 10/100/1000 Ethernet using SGMII on GPIO
  • Dual 10/100/1000BASE-T PHY (VSC8575) for SyncE and 1588 application
  • SATA Interface
  • Power Management Unit for 1 or 1.05v PolarFire FPGA core voltage
  • USB to UART Interface
  • Embedded programming and debugging using SPI and JTAG
  • On-board Power Monitoring
  • 2 x 1Gb SPI Flash Memory

Licensing

A Libero Gold license is required with PolarFire Evaluation kit to evaluate your designs. Microsemi is including a 1 year Libero Gold node locked license (worth $995) free with the kit purchase. 

A Software ID letter is included with your kit, please follow the steps below to generate a Gold license for your kit.
  1. Follow this link to go to the licensing page to register your Software ID
  2. If you are a new user you will be directed to create a Customer Portal Account. Returning users please use your credentials to Login.
  3. In the field marked Software ID for purchased products, please enter the Software ID mentioned in the Software ID letter which was shipped with the kit.
  4. Once you have submitted the request, you will get the license file within 1 hour.
