The MCP23S17-E/SP  28-bit Input/Output expander from Microchip Technology, designed to extend the I/O capabilities of microcontrollers through an SPI interface. This device is ideal for applications requiring additional I/O without using extra pins on the host microcontroller. The MCP23S17 features 16 I/O pins that can be individually configured as input or output.
